While the HiSET Interactive Practice Tests strive for conformance with WCAG 2.0 at the AA level, not all portions of these tests are fully accessible to users of screen readers. The Interactive Practice Tests are not representative of the accessibility support in the actual HiSET test, which is designed to be fully in WCAG 2.0 AA conformance.
In the Interactive Practice Tests, mathematical content is presented using MathML and MathJax (www.mathjax.org), which requires using compatible assistive technologies. Some screen readers and refreshable braille displays may not correctly render the mathematical content. Tactile embossed graphics will be available in a future version of the actual HiSET test, but are not available for the practice test. Where appropriate, images in these practice tests include extended text descriptions. The screen layout, feedback, and navigation in these practice tests differs from the actual HiSET test, and may provide a less usable experience for screen reader users.
